About the calculator: The original Pooled Cohort Equation did not take into account any measures of kidney disease. This calculator incorporates the kidney disease measures of estimated glomerular filtration rate and urine albumin to creatinine ratio to enhance the prediction for Cardiovascular Risk. The underlying model was developed and validated using eligible data from 4,143,535 individuals from 35 different cohorts and 4,932,824 individuals from 37 independent cohorts, respectively, from the Chronic Kidney Disease Prognosis Consortium.
